I'm new. I've spent the last week trying to learn if this Visual Web Developer 2008 Express will meet my needs for a web-based application idea I have. I'm impressed with all the features. I think I've figured out how to make it work for the most part.
However, I am completely mystified that I cannot find a way to use the textbox control on a web form to update a database record. What the heck good is the textbox control if you can't take the user's input and update a database? :(
