Subject pretty much says it all I believe.
I have a very controlled environment with serveral client computers that I have full control of inhouse (they are located on a factory floor) that sit on a web page all day long.
The site is built using ASP.Net 4.0 and VB, it's essentially an inhouse intranet with all sorts of company info displayed. What I am looking to do is have a small div on the main page, again I have full control so it can be an iFrame, or AJAX updatepanel
or what ever it needs to be. In this div I want to show the current production schedule, and when needed I would like to push an auto update to the div when things change in production. The signal would come sever side, and have the div update.
I tried searching different topics and keywords but I'm not exactly sure what terminology to even use and came up empty handed.
As I said, I'm not looking for code from someone, just a link to a tutorial or at least a starting point would ...
