Maintain scroll position

When clicking the update button in a formview, if there are validation errors on the page it will jump to the top of the page. Since the validation summary is at the bottom near the update button, is there a way to keep it at the bottom of the page? NOTE: the MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback is set to true but it seems to be ineffective in this case.
