I am having a problem receiving server side notification from my Ajax call. I have an Ajax method that successfully returns a boolean value. The value (Ajax call) is initiated via a button which then initiated server side processing and closes the window after processing. Based on whether the return value from the Ajax call is true or false I want the server side processing to initiate or NOT initiate. I am having problems relaying back this Ajax call value back to the server side (More than likely because of the asynchronous nature of the Ajax call). I have tried putting a value in a label or a hidden field for consumption on the server side. Any help would be appreciated. ...
