xmlhttprequest to a webmethod in an aspx?

 Hi,
I have a xmlhttprequest getting info from a webmethod of a webservice..
But, I would like to know if it is possible to put the webmethod in an aspx page instead of webservice..
If I put the webmethod in the aspx and I call it, the only that I can see is the Load event, not the calling of the webmethod..
