I'm currently in the process of developing a website for a guild that I run in an online game (no names mentioned), and am currently working on the User control panel/area.
I have become a little stuck in that I'm trying to use profiles/membership to bring up details of a particular member to the site (the user control panel is only accessible after a member has signed in). I keep getting a runtime exception thrown when attempting to use the following code in my page load event:
lbUsername.Text = profile.Username
lbEmail.Text = Membership.GetUser(profile.Username).Email.ToString()
I'm not sure whether I am using this wrong, but it did at one time work, however, i either now get an instance not set to an instance of an object exception OR i just get an empty string returned (even though A user is logged in, which they have to be to even get to this page)
I'm really kinda new with AS ...
