I have a basic Web Service hosted on my machine. I am using the service from a basic windows forms based client. Everything is working great except one of the webservice methods. It is supposed to return a class I created. (the class has the sufficient [DataMember] and [DataContract] tags). When I call the web service, it times out everytime. I added logging to the web service to see if it was faulting and not returning, but it turns out everything is working properly in the method. The crazy thing is I am doing the exactly same thing for other types of classes I created and they work fine...
What would cause a return value from a web service function to timeout when trying to return back to the client? The client isn't doing anything special, it is just sitting and waiting for the response.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Scott
