how to highlight the more no of dates in a calendar

hi all,

 i am using a calendar and  three buttons one for the day, one for week and the other for month. When i want to see the calendar in day wise i will click day button. If i want to see the calendar in a week wise, i will click week button. When i click  the week button , the corresponding week from the start date which i have clicked should be highlighted. Similarly it should work for month also. Can anybody please suggest me how to highlight the more no of dates in a calendar.
