Hi all,

being pretty new to the whole web services architecture, I have a question on communicating with a web service:

The web service needs to be secure, and there for implements ssl, a username/password function as well as an sha1 hash of the xml before being sent, for data integrity.  The question I have is, what is the difference between calling a web service through its methods, or using the SOAP post and request functionality

Ex:

WebService1 serv = new WebService1();

serv.HelloWorld();

 OR
[SoapMethod("RequestResponseMethod")]public Go to the complete details ...
