I recently attempted to create a Silverlight-enabled WCF service to send RSS feed data to my silverlight RSS diplay control. I could not find the System.ServiceModel.Syndication dll anywhere on my machine except in a temporary folder C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\blah blah and in my Silverlight install of course.
I copied the dll from the temporary asp.net folder into C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ and VS 2008 now allows me to add the reference to this assembly
However, when I compile my service Im getting an odd error:
Error 18 The type 'System.Xml.XmlReader' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Xml, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, etc etc
Im wondering if this is the wrong version of the dll or if I'm missing an important step somewhere? If so can someone please tell me how to get a hold of the correc ...
