Remove everything before a string?

Hi not sure if the below is possible but any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible to remove all characters before a string or folder in this case

I am pulling a string from a sql table cell which holds something like;
c:\program files\my program\20090217\regrhtrgh84t445g5r.txt

now on another row this could vary i.e.;
d:\program files\my other program\20090226\rsdsedgreggdfgfd5r.txt

now what I need to do is keep the folder with the date formated name and the filename after that, anything before must be removed

Does anyone have any idea how I could do this
