hello again:)
i have a web app and a sql server db (one of the tables: users(userID,..)); when a new user makes a request to a page of the app, i want to send him (or her;)) a cookie with an autogenerated user ID, that would be different from all the other userIDs already in the db; i need to 1st generate the userid and only afterwards insert a new user into the db (so the fact that userID is autoincrement doesn't do me any good). any ideas?
thanks
