Hi,
I'm new to ASP.NET, and web development in general, so hopefully someone could help me out here (Although I'm not new to .NET itself). I'm planning on using ASP.NET to create a website which uses an external Web Service (.svc). I can create offline applications in C# using the webservice, but how would I go about organising this for a website? Is it a case of simply placing a button on to the site and handling the button_click event in the same manner as offline applications? Or should I try and abstract the code behind even further from the user interface (if that's possible)?
To clarify the case, this external webservice accesses its database and returns the requested information. On a basic level, I'd like my user to type in a search term, press a button and call the webservice to retrieve the information. Should I create new folders to hold the .CS files, or is it all automated for me from within VS2008?
Thanks for any help!
