How can i submit a certificate to a remote server through a program?

Hi
I have a server page that has to do some processing and then submit the results (an xml file) to a remote server.
The security on the remote server does not require me to provide an uid/pwd but does require me to submit a certificate.
I have the certificate. How do I get my program to automatically submit this certificate to the remote server? I can see how I'd install the certificate on a client browser but I need to do the same through an automated process (my program)
