When I change the default namespace for a Web Service whose method I want to call from client script (from "http://tempuri.org/" to "http://synapse.edu/" and then call the method by including the namespace: synapse.ExamBoilerplate.GetBoilerplate(type, onGetBoilerplateSuccess, onGetBoilerplateFailure); I get a JScript error stating that synapse is undefined.  If I remove the namespace from the call: ExamBoilerplate.GetBoilerplate(type, onGetBoilerplateSuccess, onGetBoilerplateFailure); it works fine.
This is counter to all the examples I have seen, e.g. in ASP.NET AJAX in Action (Gallo, et al.) pp. 142-148, where the namespace is "http://aspnetajaxinaction.com/" and the Web service method is called from JavaScript like so: AspNetAjaxInAction.StarbucksService (etc.)
Can someone explain why i may not be working in my code?
