Hi,

We have a strange problem where our master page contains a couple of asp:ServiceReference tags for web services that are available across all pages of the application. We use the ScriptMethod attribute to expose these web services to JS and call them manually when triggered by certain UI elements. The path to the web service has been defined with a tilde "~" to ensure that it is always relative to the root of the web app.

However, for one of our customers only, we are getting an error generated "No web service found at..." for both of the web services and the URLs show as relative to the current page rather than the root of the web application. So, it appears that the tilde is being ignored.

Why would this happen for one customer only and work OK for everyone else? Their IT people seem to think it could be a security setting at their end...does this sound plausible?

Thanks,

Jason
