I am having a strange problem. I created a class library for .NET 2.0 that is used to manage online users and profiles of an ASP.NET 2.0 application. This class library is used as a COM object which is invoked by a Win32 application. I have created an appropriate app.config file that follows the name of the win32 executable that invokes the .NET COM, i.e. app_name.exe.config, where I placed the same part of <system.web> section for membership, roleManager and profile from original web.config file of ASP.NET 2.0 application. So everything works fine, and I have managed to access web users, their profile etc., except for one thing. I can manage to access profile properties, using, e.g.
ProfileBase usrProfile = ProfileBase.Create(username);
string s = (string)usrProfile["profile_property_name"];
but as my profile configuration contains also a profil ...
