Just wondering if this is possible...
I have a web application, through it I need to get Desktop notifications (like how outlook works).. is that possible?
Even if I am in another application , the notifications should work
basically something like outlook...
so the web app might be running in the background and someone using the web app in another office might add a new purchase order as an example. This should then trigger a notification to appear on my desktop... (like the way outlook displays a notification when new mail arrives)..
My question is... is this even possible.. without installing software on the client machine itself?
I noticed some jquery html5 stuff that gives you desktop notifications... but something still needs to trigger this
