event bubbling -- passing value from ASCX to ASPX - for dynamically added user control?

I have a placeholder that I used to dynamically populate a user control.  The user control does work and then when it's finished it sends back a string notifying if the CRUD procedure was successful or failed.  Below is my code that will dynamically add a user control;


I've been able to do it successfully when I declare the individual user controls - just not when they are done dynamically :(
 
note that 'wuc' is for web user control
