Hello! Any1 can help me? I have a very strange problem with ASP.net roles. Well, Roles always worked for me, I am using SQL2005 EXPRESS EDITION. I created the roles programatically. But, when I tried to migrate the whole database to a real server, I realize that... aspnet_Roles and aspnet_UsersInRoles in my database were empty!! In the real server, obviusly didn't work. I debugged my applications, and the Role provider works, but has a different connections string! That's not the connection string I put in the web.config (And I checked the configuration, and its OK.. Look: )
The ghost connection string in the Role provider was something like:
data source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true
Where the *** this connection comes?? It doesn't exists in the web.config. ...
