sub domain and images

 Hi all,
i have a domain like www.example.com and i created a subdomain like http://sample.example.com
At the main domain i have a folder IMAGE when i save my pictures.
How can i view my pictures from my subdomain ?
This is my code (i need to have this code to check if an image exists) but i have problems:
