Hi, I am a complete stranger to all of ASP.NET, but I have found myself in the position of securing a web application that will be available on our company's intranet. I have never used ASP at all, and all I know is that the developer has been designing using Visual Studio 2008. Unforunately he is not around for the next 3 months, and securing this application is of high importance, and needs to be implemented ASAP.
Basically, I need to allow certain Windows ID's access to different pages of this web application. Being a complete novice, I have absolutely no idea where to start so I was hoping there was someone who could give me a detailed, step-by-step guide on how I can configure this. I am very desperate and quite frightened by this prospect!
