My site is going to be split up into 3 sections - Admin, Customers and Suppliers. They each need to authenticate before they can use (parts) of the system.
I've already created the membership tables etc, but I haven't yet restricted access to authenticated users because I don't want to slow down development by having to constantly log in.
Anyway, the Suppliers section needs to authenticate by a unique URL, so that they don't have to remember login details.
I was hoping that, on first load of the Suppliers page, I could read in this unique URL, decipher it, and authenticate the user if the URL is valid.
Is there already some facility to do any of this or should I go about creating an encrypted string containing the UserID or something? How could I then authenticate the user in the code?
