Form authentication not working??

Hello,
I have set loginUrl in my web.config but for some reason when the page gets redirects to login page if i try to visit other pages without authentication all my images are invisible with a cross sign .Moreover i have javascript on window.onload, this throws exception, i spent 2 hours trying to figure out what is happening but i couldn't get a clue. Can anybody suggest me what the problem can be?
