I have an ASP.NET application that needs to have impersonate="true" turned on because I need to get the users credintials to do a look up elsewhere. I do not want the user to be the account that is used to access the database.

I have tried setting a user id and password in the connection string.
And have tried adding a Active Directory group to the database with that user in the group and both fail to access the database.

It is not only until I add the user directly to the database. That he is allowed to connect and the app works.

Any suggestions on a solution? I cant be the only one to have tried this. :(
