I am new to ASP.NET, and am just learning how to set up SQL Provider Security.
I have been getting the following error, and I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me what I am doing so terribly wrong.
I have used the aspnet_regsql.exe tool to add the tables to my database which is on SQL Server 2005. I am using MS Visual Web Developer Express for the moment until I can get Visual Studio 2008. I am able to successfully create usernames, roles and rules when using ASPNETDB.mdf on my IIS web server, but when I try to switch over to using it on SQL Server 2005, I am stonewalled time and time again. At first, it was telling me that it was not trusted, so I added ASPNET user to my database using SQL Authentication, and added that user ID and pwd to my connection string. Now, I get the following:
