I want to use the details view for inserting new records. This will not be used to view edit or delete records. I want to use it for just input. I though it would make a neat looking way to do this. It would also be easy to style with the CssFriendlyControl adapters.
I am using multiple logical layers in my app. The insert is currently being done with text boxes in a table. Then the properties are being assigned to the value of the text from the text box in the code behind. The new instances of the BAL and BO are also being created in this code behind. This is where I get confused on how to make the details view work with my app.
I don't have text boxes, or I don't know what they are with the details view. I don't know how to reference the values since I don't have a name of the textbox and it's value to assign to the property. This seems especially difficult since the details view is rendered as ...
