Greetings,
First thank you for taking the time to read this. I've googled and done the best I can and now I need help.
I've implemented a custom MembershipProvider class to validate a user. Now, i'm stuck at trying to implement a isAdmin function. I don't know how to do it. I really don't want to use windows authentication. I have a users table that has username, password and isAdmin columns
I also wrote a function in my BBCInternet class called isAdmin(username) that tells you if the user isAdmin. But i don't want to be querying each time for this.
I like how when you do this, <h4>Welcome <%= Page.User.Identity.Name.ToString() %></h4> it outputs it. I don't have to do a db lookup. Isn't there a way to make the isAdmin persist across pages ? Can't I do Page.User.isAdmin() ?
Here is my custom membership class - http://pastie.org/789315
Thank you. ...
