Drop Down and Textbox

Hi,
I created a form, having 3 textbox and 2 drop downs.
So my first issue is that: When I change Read Only to True, it allows me to write in the text box. Is that normal?

And secondly, the drop down box has got values from 1 to 6. When am running the program, the first item that is number 1 is displayed as a blank, and the rest displays 2 to 6...
