Adding asp membership to host

Hi,
This might be the wrong forum area
I would like to know how do I use my membership website online. I have made all the pages and adding them to my web host server but where do I add the databases? can they just be added to the same place as the web files or do I have to add them to my database area on my host?
Thanks in advance for whoever helps me!!
