Why asp.net mamebreship (roles, profiles) storage is database-based?
There are plenty of websites:
- without any database engagement;
- with very simple membership for 1,2,3 users
The most obvious, simple and first-necessity storage seems would have been file-based.
Ok, it is possible to edit web.config.
But I mean rather separate from web.config centralized place/file of all membership information + profiles info.
BTW, can anybody advise me examples/samples/articles describing how to configure standard asp.net membership for file-based storage?
