Hi guys,
Security design question regarding an online application form... the user commences the application form and enters their name, email address and a range of other personal fields.  Skips to the next page, this form data is stored in an object and written to a database record.  As they complete each section of the form the application record is updated with the relevant fields.  If the user stops halfway through, their internet connection dies or their computer crashes, how is the best way to implement "application resuming"?
A few ideas occurred to me, one being to create an aspnet user account for them after they complete the first section of the form and email them a resume link, their username and password.  Then they have to login with the supplied credentials to access their application again.
However, is this the most sensible and secure approach or is there another way that offers security without having to create a use ...

Go to the complete details ...
