Am getting divorced .. from my sanity = PageMethods not defined

I am running a content page inside a master page;
 <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"  EnablePageMethods="true"></asp:ScriptManager>
 codebehind:
[WebMethod]
        protected static void InsertManagingAgent(int id, int countyid, int locationid, int postdistrictid, string name, string address1, string address2, string address3, string address4, string companyno, string email, string telephone, string fax)
        {

        }
 and javascript call
 PageMethods.InsertManagingAgent(orgManAgentID, orgCountyID, orgLocationID, orgPostDistrictID, orgName, orgAddress1, orgAddress2, orgAddress3, orgAddress4, orgCompanyNo, orgEmail, orgTelephone, orgFax, OnSucceeded,OnFailed);
