I just installed Visual Studio 2010 and noticed that SQL Server 2008 and Sql Server Compact 3.5 were installed too.
I don't see the nice GUI enterprise client with the typing assist that I get if I install SQL Server Express from the SQL downloads web page.
If I want to use the latest SQLExpress with the nice GUI client instead of this SQL Server 2008, what should I uninstall? Should I uninstall everything that contains "SQL"?
Here is the list I see in when executing the powershell command 'Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_Product -Filter "Name LIKE '%SQL%'" | ForEach-Object { write-host "uninstall " $_.Name; }' (See below).
Do I want to uninstall all of these if I plan to explicitly download the latest SQLExpress and install that?
I don't know if I want to play with the compact version of SQL and I don't know how to use it. Is there a more recent version of that too I can download for free and install? Why don't ...
