how to remove "
" from my text box?

 when i save data to sql server db i am using this to
Trim(txtMyTextBox.Text.Replace(vbCrLf, "<br>"))
 to add new line or new pragraph.
 problem is when i fetch the the field from db and display it in a textbox, it is showing like this
My Test text.</br></br>My Test text.
how can i remove the </br> from the above text?
