I'm trying to access the Web Site Administration Tool for a ASP.Net 3.5 Web site project I am working on. I just picked up ASP.Net 2 and a half weeks ago and haven't mastered the more advanced features. I use Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Sever 2005.
The project is so far only on my desktop computer and I believe I have setup / installed all of the proper SQL Tables (Membership, Roles, etc.) using the aspnet_regsql.exe tool. All of the tables appear in my project. The problem is, whenever I try to open the Web Site Administration Tool, all I see is an error that states "An error was encountered. Please return to the previous page and try again."
So far creating and logging in for users is fine, and it even updates the tables. But I can't add roles or users to the roles, or anything else.
