create page based on sql data

I'm new to asp and still trying to learn it so keep things simple.


I have an asp page that diplays a list of books (for example) and I am using a datalist to display the data (data comes from sqldatasource).  I have "Title", "Author" and other info. 
I created a linkbutton in the Item Template so that the "Title" of the book displays as a link that can be clicked.  I want to be able to click on the link (Title Name) and display additional information about the book that particular book. 
What is the best way to approach this?  Where do I begin?
