I have been trying to optimize my project for slower connections.
I have a flash data chart that resides in a user control and I include it on a page. The control is interactive through update panel.
Problem with slower connections is not everyone can afford to use this function with same performance. So I provide an option to hide it and in page load I disable view state of the user control.
But I saw on Fiddler that it is still loading SWF file worth 64K twice. What can I do so when the section is off I can go without even loading this thing? Where can I call remove so it doesn't have to load this empty flash object and spend time?
