I have a intranet site that I am creating. One of the pages contains a gridview that will contain links to video files. The files are .swf files that were created with a screen capture program.
I have been struggling with trying to get these files to play. The only way I am able to get the file to play is if they are in a folder in the web site directory. That is part of the frustration because ideally I would like to have them in a network folder however I can never seem to get it to work. I am positive it is not permission related as I can put Word files or PDF files in the same folder an open them from my page.
So now I am creating a page for users to add the video files which is made up of text boxes and a file upload control. I am looking for advice on how to take the file from the upload and copy to the folder in the site directory. Assume file director to be \intranet\videos\
