upload and save document outside the application itself

Hi there 
I am trying to upload and save a document into a folder which is outside the application. 
The file structure is as follow:
D:\INTRANETv2\admin\ (the admin folder is the application)
D:\INTRANETv2\ (is the website root folder)
D:\INTRANETv2\INTRANETv2\library\newsDocs\ trying to uplad to this directory
 
My code works as so far as I can dynamically create a directory within "newsDocs" folder, but when the app tries to save to the newly created folder
I get the error: 
'E:\INTRANETv2\library\newsDocs\28Feb2011_10\' is not a valid virtual path. 
"28Feb2011_10" Is the folder created on the fly. How can I resolve this issue ?
