Hi All: I have a custom "email tracker" http module that tracks bad requests to the "images" directory, writes the request into a SQL dB, and returns a GIF file to the browser. There is a hard-coded connection string in the module.

Is there any way to get an http module to use the web.config/connectionstrings parameter when it's placed in a project? If I try replacing the hard-coded connection string with something like:

ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("myConn").ConnectionString

I get an error "configurationmanager not declared"

I want to be able move this module from website to website without having to hard code the connection string for each website?
