I have written a web service in which I am accessing active directory. I have hosted this website on IIS and enable Integrated windows authentication from Directory security. This works fine (I am able to retrieve active directory list).
However now I have a situation where I dont want integrated windows authentication to be enabled. So I removed it and enforced anonymous access through IIS. Now when I am trying access active directory it gives error as "Specified domaiin doesn't exist or could not be contacted" though I am using windows user id and password to connect to active directory which is kept in web.config
Does anyone knows how can I achieve this without enforcing windows authentication or it is not possible at all ? Is there any alternate solution for this ?
