AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider, XML Backing store, 0x80070005 E_ACCESSDENIED

 

Folks,

 

I have been trying to use AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider using xml as the backing store for an asp .net application. When I try to invoke any of the Rolemanager API's I get the following error.

 

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

 

First I thought it was the permission on the XML file. But upon further investigation I found that the last method in the call stack before it ventures into the COM API is GetClientContextFromName(). I tried using both impersonating (identity imperso ...
