I'm trying to move a rather massive hosted ecommerce server application (Shopping Cart) from VB6 into Visual Studio 2008 and then 2010. The compiled ActiveX DLL is currently located under "Program Files". One copy services all of the web sites on that web server.
Visual Studio 2010 seems to require the compiled (built) DLL to be in a /bin folder immediately under the folder where the *.aspx launch file is located. The resulting crippled DLL also CANNOT be registered with regsvr32.
We've spent weeks searching for how to move the DLL from the /bin folder over to a folder under C;/Program Files without any success.
How should we modify the <%@ Page Language="vb" line at the top of the *.aspx file so the Inherits= points a folder under C:\Program Files?
