I have a textbox, from where the users can upload data to a database.l

It is not allowed to write HTML-code in the textbox. If the user does that, he/she gets the default popup errormessage from asp.net with a pagerequestmanagerservererrorexception.

How do I do, if I don't want this message. I figure I have to use try ... catch ..., but I don't know how and where to place the code.

I just want to write a errormessage in a label or maybe it is possible to use one of the AJAX-validation components.?

Can anyone help me

thanks
