How to audit user logout event?

 In my application when user logs out FormsAuthentication.SignOut() method is called, but right after that method call HttpContext.Current.User still points to user who just had logged out.
Does this mean that user still remains authenticate? after FormsAuthentication.SignOut()? and when actual logout event can be observed?
