how to call .exe from my web server

 Hi,
 I have an executable I built from a C program, and I want to call that executable from my web server. 
In my web, the user will click a button and send some of his data. This executable will read this data in the server and verify everything is correct (and display an ok message). Since this verification has to be done with this executable, I cannot write the code to check it myself, it has to go through this small program. 
I'm using VB.NET, and I have no idea how could I possibly do this. Could someone please help me out?
