This is my first post in the forum. Couldn't help but
register cuz I cant seem to solve this on my own. I am very
inexperienced, so to everyone replying, please please keep it as simple
as possible,
Now, what I am trying to do:
I am trying to build a website with just one page showing a list of text files.
Users can come to my site and just download these files.
These text files can be found on other websites and is updated frequently.
So, I just fetch these files to my server every 5 mins.
For this: I have a extra Timer thread running in the web application that "fetches" the updated files every 5 mins.
Now the problem is:
When I run on my IIS6 localhost, it runs fine without any interruption.
But When I copy website to IIS7 server (discountasp.com) , THE TIMER stops updating after a while.
I dont know if the timer goes dead, or some ...
