Spell check in formatted text

Hello friends,

I had created a rich textbox using javascript. I am using ms word spell check to check spelling of the textbox. now if I write a string in the textbox and then bold that string and after that if I check spelling it checks the strign with html tags (<strong>) which does not allow spell check mechanism to check properly. Is there any mechanism which can supress the html tags and after spell correction again restore the tags as it is. Please let me know if there is sopme thing like this. Also let me know if we can do anything alternate for this.
