this is my first post in the forums, so greetings to everyone!
i am trying to learn asp.net using vb and the microsoft visual web developer express. now im stuck with the following problem.
i have a site displaying database values. now i want the page to update as soon as there has been a change in the db. right now im just reloading site using the ontick, but there are a lot of superfluous updates. is there a way of checking for db changes before updating the site?? any suggestions would be appreciated
